Morton’s hosted a “Taste of Two Legends” wine dinner featuring pairings from Napa and South America, and the evening was executed beautifully from start to finish. The opening crab with grapefruit and avocado was fresh, bright, and clean — a perfect way to start the night with Sauvignon Blanc. The baked brie tart with wild thyme honey and apricot jam was rich and indulgent without being overwhelming.
The herb-crusted lamb chop with cauliflower purée and cherry jus was outstanding, and the Merlot and Malbec pairing showed how well those wines can play with lamb when done right.
But the highlight of the evening was the prime New York strip with duchesse potatoes and black truffle crema. While Napa Cabernet certainly showed well, the Chilean Cabernet from Maipo Valley ended up stealing the spotlight — balanced, elegant, and absolutely perfect with the steak.
Dessert finished the night with salted caramel crunch cake and a beautifully sweet Muscat from Málaga.
Great food, thoughtful wine pairings, attentive service, and a room full of people clearly enjoying themselves. Nights like this remind you why wine dinners can still be something special.
Would absolutely do it again.

Taste of Texas was an experience of a life time. Starting with our waiter Chase. We visited all the way from Jacksonville, Florida. It was a pretty busy day in the restaraunt, and Chase was outstandingly engaged and available to us regardless. He needs a raise!!! Super personalable, and engaged throughout the "Entire" experience. The steak he personally walked us through and recommended was superb A++. The salad bar, bread selection and sides were also out of this world.
Finally, their restroom is an entire experience on its on. SUPER clean and inviting. If you are looking for an out of this world Restaraunt / Museum type experience... run and not walk to Taste of Texas!!! You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant is definitely on the pricey side for my tatse so this will definitely be for a special occasion place. Overall I had a good time!

What can I say? My experience at Perilla Korean Steakhouse was AAAAAAMAZING!!! I met Jose', who I later found out was the manager on the night prior to my reservation when I ordered an evening snack. I was pleasantly surprised when he stopped by my table to ask about my meal from the previous night. He was courteous and genuinely receptive to the feedback. Great exchange! My snack was good but I couldn't eat it all. My dining experience for the next evening was more than I expected. Christopher was patient with me while I asked 1000 questions and he provided great feedback and recommendations for my meal and drinks. Bethany prepared my marinated short rib to perfection and engaged in pleasantries. Did I mention that their Caesar salad is THE BEST that I've had in my lifetime? Both Christopher and Bethany provided outstanding Service. After dinner, I left for a quick moment and returned for dessert and a night cap at the bar. From my entrance (the woman who seated me) until my departure was a wonderful experience. Great job providing top tier customer service.

We sat on the rooftop during golden hour—umbrellas overhead, ocean air moving through the space, and the long fire feature lending the room that warm, flattering glow. It’s an atmosphere that’s upscale without being stiff, and it makes a normal dinner feel like a night out.
Food-wise, the kitchen leans into modern steakhouse elegance. The early plates were composed and clean—bright accents, smart texture, and sauces used with intention instead of drowning the protein. The skewers came out with a deep, savory char, and the mains landed with the confidence you want at this price point. Dessert closed the loop in classic steakhouse fashion: unapologetically rich chocolate with that “special occasion” flourish—plus a well-executed ice cream accompaniment that actually tasted like it belonged.
But the difference-maker was service, especially Paige, who managed to be warm, informed, and impeccably timed without hovering. She guided the pacing, checked in at the right moments, and handled the table the way great hospitality should—like you’re welcome, not like you’re being managed.
A Coronado staple for dates, celebrations, or hosting visitors who want a rooftop dinner that feels distinctly “San Diego.”
This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and we chose it to celebrate my husband’s birthday dinner. I was extremely happy with how everything turned out. The vibes were incredible—it truly felt like being transported to Italy and France, especially with the live music. The ambiance was absolutely perfect.

The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and luxurious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special night out.
This is a 10 out of 10 for me. I would definitely advise couples, friends, and families to come together and experience the luxury, old-vintage restaurant feeling for themselves.

On the positive side, the service was genuinely great. The food itself wasn’t bad, but in a city with so many outstanding Italian and steakhouse options, it just felt very average. Overall, the experience was just ok, and for the price we paid, the quality of the food didn’t quite measure up. The steak was good but not exceptional, and the pastas were fine, though nothing stood out. The one dish we truly enjoyed was the octopus carpaccio, which was excellent.
Overall, the restaurant was okay, but there wasn’t anything compelling enough to bring us back.

I visited Morton’s Steakhouse in San Diego on a Thursday night in September with a party of four, and it was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. We started with the French onion soup and lobster bisque, both of which were rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main course, we ordered the filet mignon, and I have to say, it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It’s clear that Morton’s takes great care in preparing their steaks.
For dessert, we tried the cream brûlée. I’ve sampled cream brûlée at many restaurants, but this one stands out as one of the best I’ve ever had. The texture was perfectly smooth, the caramelized top had just the right amount of crispness, and the flavor was delicate yet indulgent.
The interior of the restaurant adds to the overall experience. It has a modern, sophisticated vibe with elegant décor, comfortable seating, and a warm ambiance that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The service was attentive and professional without being intrusive, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
Overall, Morton’s Steakhouse in San Diego offers exceptional food, stylish surroundings, and a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse experience in the city. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be returning.

I found it odd they dont have valet but they do have a garage right around the corner where they park your car for you. The ambiance is nice but where we were seated was strange bc there was a mirror right in front of the booth of the middle section. The food was great. They come and prepare the meat for you where's the sister restaurant you do it yourself. Guess it depends what you want to do bc feels strange uokeeping a conversation and eating as someone is right in front of you making the steaks. The soonduhn soup was great for being out in the cold. The accompaniments were perfect and flavorful. The glass noodles was probably one of my favorites.
My god......ive been to MANY steakhouses, restaurants and 5 star dining venues but this place here.......a whole, other, LEVEL! It is pricey but I truly feel that, for the quality of food, service and location, it cant be beat. Nestled in a beautifully set location on coronado island, this place
My god......ive been to MANY steakhouses, restaurants and 5 star dining venues but this place here.......a whole, other, LEVEL! It is pricey but I truly feel that, for the quality of food, service and location, it cant be beat. Nestled in a beautifully set location on coronado island, this place exudes fine dining and historical experiences. The steaks come paired with a plethora of steak knives (with explanations) that are all hand made and of the highest quality. The service was exemplary and the servers themselves were quite beautiful (😏) and very friendly. Out of all of the places that ive dined at, this one will be my DEFINITE go to whenever I want an actual price tag worthy meal. The entertainment, a one man army with his guitar, was some of the best solo playing and singing that ive heard at any place with a live performance. I literally cant say anything negative about this place. Until next time ❤️
