I really enjoyed my brunch at Perilla Steakhouse.

I had the Korean lunch tray with prime skirt steak, and the steak was just absolutely cooked to perfection in every way. ❤️

The meal was very satisfying, and the staff were so warm and friendly throughout my whole dining experience.

The downtown location near the River Walk is also a big plus.

When I asked a friend about taste of Texas he said “its an experience.” That’s exactly right a perfect 32 ounce porterhouse cooked to perfection. Picked out my own steak. Two sides of fresh mushrooms and spinach while eating in a Texas museum a cathedral of sorts that exemplifies what Texas is all about. Great steak big portions and warm hospitality. My server Micheal N or “Big Mike” as good as it gets. Ask for him what a great guy. As perfect as you can get ! Thank you

Excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is very good, 5 stars. It's not loud at all, the tables are spread out and your not on top of everyone. The lighting is bright and it's easy to hold a conversation without yelling. The bathrooms are very clean and smells great. Odd comment but it does matter. The food is also very good, its all about the steak! They even allow you to select your own steak before its prepared! All the steak temperatures are cooked to exactly how you expect it. We had a party of 6 for a business dinner but this is a great restaurant for any type of event. Make sure you have a reservation and everyone in your party must be present prior to seating. Lastly, parking is limited so carpool if you can.

Walking in, we were seated in a corner rather than in the main dining area. We asked to be moved since, for us, dining out is as much about the atmosphere as it is about the food. The only alternative was a table in the bar area, so we went with it and made the best of the situation.

On the positive side, the service was genuinely great. The food itself wasn’t bad, but in a city with so many outstanding Italian and steakhouse options, it just felt very average. Overall, the experience was just ok, and for the price we paid, the quality of the food didn’t quite measure up. The steak was good but not exceptional, and the pastas were fine, though nothing stood out. The one dish we truly enjoyed was the octopus carpaccio, which was excellent.

Overall, the restaurant was okay, but there wasn’t anything compelling enough to bring us back.

I visited Morton’s Steakhouse in San Diego on a Thursday night in September with a party of four, and it was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. We started with the French onion soup and lobster bisque, both of which were rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For the main course, we ordered the filet mignon, and I have to say, it was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It’s clear that Morton’s takes great care in preparing their steaks.

For dessert, we tried the cream brûlée. I’ve sampled cream brûlée at many restaurants, but this one stands out as one of the best I’ve ever had. The texture was perfectly smooth, the caramelized top had just the right amount of crispness, and the flavor was delicate yet indulgent.

The interior of the restaurant adds to the overall experience. It has a modern, sophisticated vibe with elegant décor, comfortable seating, and a warm ambiance that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The service was attentive and professional without being intrusive, which made the evening even more enjoyable.

Overall, Morton’s Steakhouse in San Diego offers exceptional food, stylish surroundings, and a memorable dining experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse experience in the city. We left completely satisfied and will definitely be returning.

We found this restaurant and booked a table through Chase Sapphire Reserve. We arrived early for our 5:15 reservation as the restaurant was opening.

The host did not greet us and appeared focused on coat check for a larger group. Host area seemed chaotic.l, even though there were 4 employees in that area. We were still not acknowledged and stepped up and shared we had a reservation. Finally after 10 minutes we were seated between two groups of 10 plus. It was loud! We asked to be sat elsewhere and they did.

When seated again, what looked like 2 managers stood looking over the dining room, chatting with each other and looking at their phones. Maybe they could have greeted us when we arrived or helped organize the host area.

Our server was excellent- attentive, thorough and helpful. The food was all excellent. Meatballs are great and the chopped salad was fabulous. The roasted garlic and steak seasoning are so good!

Our new table was quieter and we enjoyed the ambiance. We did not have time for dessert due to 7 pm concert tickets.

Overall, this is a fantastic experience. I sampled basically the entire menu outside of the grilled meat options. It was all very good, but I highly recommend the Japchae and the Korean Fried Chicken here. The Korean options range in authenticity, so it’s important that you like Korean food if you want to get the most out of your experience! But there are more Western options such as the burger for those that still want to try it. It’s a pretty good burger too!

Service was absolutely incredible! They were very friendly and provided a handwritten note as well as some small bites on the house to celebrate our anniversary. They were attentive and gave some good recommendations for our order.

I had a Chase Sapphire Reserve perk here for $150 off the meal, so this structure was perfect to maximize the credit. I’ll be returning even without this perk!

It would be nice if they had a dress code; I feel like some guests came dressed sloppy which undervalues the restaurant . We did go right at 4pm, which could explain why the service was great as it was empty.
We ordered 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 3 sides. The waiter did tell us it would be a bit of a wait but he offered more bread while we waited. The drinks are decently priced.
Water was filled almost instantly; even when it got busier, the water was almost always consistently filled.
They did not rush us and answered questions about the food without prejudice or bias.
We were celebrating a birthday and they did phenomenal at making us feel special.
The potatoes and Mac and cheese tasted similarly to each other. Creamed spinach was creamy and not too cheesy. The lava cake is not as chocolate as it sounds. The wagyu dumplings had a good semi spicy sauce on the side.

My god......ive been to MANY steakhouses, restaurants and 5 star dining venues but this place here.......a whole, other, LEVEL! It is pricey but I truly feel that, for the quality of food, service and location, it cant be beat. Nestled in a beautifully set location on coronado island, this place exudes fine dining and historical experiences. The steaks come paired with a plethora of steak knives (with explanations) that are all hand made and of the highest quality. The service was exemplary and the servers themselves were quite beautiful (😏) and very friendly. Out of all of the places that ive dined at, this one will be my DEFINITE go to whenever I want an actual price tag worthy meal. The entertainment, a one man army with his guitar, was some of the best solo playing and singing that ive heard at any place with a live performance. I literally cant say anything negative about this place. Until next time ❤️

​If you're looking for a great steak spot in Coronado, this is it. Seriously, the skirt steak was one of the best I've had in a long, long time. So good. We also got the French onion soup and it was delicious—really flavorful and cheesy, but not too salty like they can sometimes be. The staff was great, too. They were always there when you needed them but didn't interrupt our conversation. Definitely going back!
